I’m an artist and designer. Through my work I investigate and address urban issues like land use, urban planning and design, public transportation, new urbanism, utopias, planned communities, public space, urban beauty, and the freedom to walk. I consider and confront how these topics intersect with political and social structures and urban issues like housing and food insecurity and access to necessities like healthcare, education, work and the natural environment. I work with a variety of media including photography, illustration, graphic design, video, maps, walking, picnics, protests, and campaigns. I create images, signs and experiences that are visually engaging, intuitive, elegant, strong and clear. I approach all of my work as an exploration, diving deep into the subject with curiosity and openness to the unexpected. I enjoy discovering patterns and connections in the world around me and arriving at new and innovative solutions. I consider my audience and utilize a communication approach that is both playful and direct.
I received my BFA from Webster University, St. Louis and my MFA from the University of South Florida, Tampa.
